11 Chinese nationals nabbed for illegal construction of mineral plant

Joint forces of the government arrested 11 Chinese nationals involved in the illegal construction of a mineral processing plant in Purok 6, Barangay Tugos, Paracale, Camarines Norte.

Arrested were Liu Wei Xi, Chen Gui Hua, Chang Si Ci, Chen Chan Xia, Liu Wei Mang, Yu Yun Lai, Zhen Zi Yu, Li Chun, Jiu Zhong Ren, Lou Peng, and Sheng Yuan Fan.

The composite forces of the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC); Bureau of Immigration (BI); Philippine National Police and Armed Forces of the Philippines raided the village of Tugos in Paracale town, Camarines Norte where the Chinese nationals uncovered in the illegal construction of a mineral processing plant.

The 11 Chinese nationals were seized at around P8:30 in the morning at Purok 6, Tugos, Paracale town shortly after the start of the day’s work on Saturday, October 13, 2024.

Tugos village in Paracale is one of the gold rich villages in Camarines Norte.

The arrest of 11 Chinese nationals was enforced by the government forces pursuant to a mission order issued by the Bureau of Immigration against these Chinese nationals.

Currently, the suspects are under the custody of the Bureau of Immigration for further investigation and proper disposition.

Police Brig. Gen. Andre P. Dizon, Bicol police regional director lauded the efforts of the joint operatives for apprehending the 11 Chinese nationals involved in the illegal construction of a mineral processing plant in the pot of gold town of Paracale.

“The police regional office 5 will continue our close collaboration with the Bureau of Immigration to uncover more information surrounding possible illegal activities in Bicol Region and ensure accountability of the culprits,” Dizon said. – BY RHAYDZ BARCIA
